Reporting Changes and NPI
We are committed to providing excellent service to both you and your patients. One way we do this is to be as accurate as possible in our directory listings and referrals. By providing us with any changes to your information, as required by your contract, you help us to maintain that accuracy. You can view your current directory profile using the Search for a Doctor or Facility option.
Report the following changes via e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org), fax (781-487-8273) or mail (see below). If sending by fax or mail, changes must be on your office letterhead.
- Provider name
- National Provider Identifier (NPI, see below)
- Address, phone or e-mail
- Hospital affiliations
- Hospital admitting privileges
- Practitioner retirement or death
- Accepting or declining new patients
- Termination from the MultiPlan Network or PHCS Network
- Tax ID number (must include a copy of your most recent W-9 form)

National Provider Identification (NPI)
MultiPlan does not require an NPI on claims, nor do we use NPIs when repricing claims. We do, however, include fields for capturing this information on our provider applications and recredentialing forms. We also are able to store NPIs in our system of record for individual providers, provider groups, ancillary providers, and acute providers. You may also submit your NPI via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are a practitioner participating in the PHCS and/or MultiPlan Networks, you can use our provider self-update application to make changes and additions to your service locations.
